Movie Meme [October 08, 2009 @ 12:17am]
[ mood | exhausted ]

stolen from [info]siarh

01. Name a movie that you have seen more than 10 times.
Uhh, a better question would be name a movie I haven't seen ten times. Umm...what the hell...The Thomas Crowne Affair.

02. Name a movie that you’ve seen multiple times in the cinema.
Transformers 2. Dorky I know, but what can I say, I liked it.

03. Name an actor that would make you more inclined to see a movie.
Uh, any of the old pro's: Sir Anthony Hopkins, Sir Ian McKellan, Jack Nicholson, Robert de Niro, Gary Oldman, Sean Connery and most especially, Al Pacino.

04. Name an actor that would make you less likely to see a movie.
Honestly, Kevin Bacon, Kevin Costner, Kevin Spacey (hmm...lotta Kevin's in this list), Sylvester Stallone, Kurt Russell, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

05. Name a movie that you can quote from.
If I love it enough to own it, I can and do quote it. Monty Python and The Holy Grail, Reefer Madness, Twister, The Thomas Crowne Affair, The Big Easy, Face-Off, Lost Boys, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and etc.

06. Name a movie musical that you know all the lyrics to all the songs.
Reefer Madness, Disney's cartoon version of "Robin Hood"

07. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with.
See above

08. Name a movie that you would recommend everyone see.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Hangover, etc.

09. Name a movie that you own.
Too many to list.

10. Name an actor who launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops.
Ok, this is going to sound so dorky, but Dane Cook. I thought he did really well in "Mr. Brooks"

11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in? If so, what?
No, I have never been to a drive in, but I want to.

12. Ever made out in a movie?
Yes.

13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven’t gotten around to it.
Too many, in fact I should probably watching one now.

14. Ever walked out of a movie?
No. I have returned a movie after seeing 15 minutes of it and deciding it wasn't worth my time.

15. Name a movie that made you cry in the cinema.
Oh, god. Okay, "Lion King", but I was like 5 alright?!

16. Popcorn?
No thanks. I prefer to just drink soda.

17. How often do you go to the movies (as opposed to renting them or watching them at home)?
4-6 times a year.

18. What’s the last movie you saw in the cinema?
"The Ugly Truth"

19. What’s your favorite/preferred genre of movie?
Whatever looks decent.

20. What’s the first movie you remember seeing in the cinema?
"The Lion King".

21. What movie do you wish you had never seen?
The Strangers, it was so stupid.

22. What is the weirdest movie you enjoyed?
Probably "Three Thousand Miles To Graceland", or "Titus"

23. What is the scariest movie you’ve seen?
"Untraceable" It wasn't so much "scary" as extremely disturbing.

24. What is the funniest movie you’ve seen?
"The Hangover"! If you haven't seen this movie then you need to rent a copy the minute it comes out on video; you'll laugh until you cry!

Writer's Block: Airplane reading [October 07, 2009 @ 10:31pm]

If you're going on a long plane or road trip, what sort of reading materials do you bring along? Is it different from what you usually read? Will you watch a trashy movie or read a bad novel or magazines just to pass the time?

It really all depends on how I feel at the time, as to what books I bring along. If I'm pretty alert and awake, I usually bring something that is interesting and keeps me involved in the plot; such as Dan Brown's "Angels and Demons" or Michael Connelly's "The Poet". If I'm feeling a bit less bubbly and a little more worn out, I bring books that I'm really familiar with and I can follow easily; Robert Crais's "L.A. Requiem" or any of Robert B. Parker's "Spencer" series. And if I'm just absolutely exhausted I bring very simple books, that require little to no thought to read; Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight", Lori Handeland's "Nightcreature" novel's, etc. None of these books are really very different from what I usually read, as my tastes in reading change with the wind; I can read "Twilight" one minute and "The Illiad" the next. Umm, I admit that I have partaken of the Harlequin series from time to time. So, in answer to your question, yes, I will watch a trashy movie or read a trashy novel to pass time; it's much better than sitting and staring at the seat in front of me for numerous hours.

Christmas Wishlist [December 13, 2008 @ 11:56pm]
[ mood | anxious ]

 Stolen from [info]missmeehan :

Step One
Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals, or holiday_wishes) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

My List:

1. More Jay/Grant!
2. More Dustin/Tango! (Come on, it is painstakingly obvious in the 'Leap Castle' episode)
3. More Jay/Steve! (Once again see 'Leap Castle')
4. More injured!Grant fics!!
5. 6 or more text or stock icons using pics or quotes of my choice.
6. Jay/Grant Icons!!!
7. A new layout for my livejournal would be awesome!
8. Cop!Steve/OFC PWP! (With use of handcuffs, s'il vous plait!!!)
9. Fic involving the TAPS team and Pot (Comedy not smutty)
10. a Tango/Steve Fic involving a sacred/injured Tango and Steve being trapped by a maleviolent spirit, who continues to harm Tango. Please include protective!Steve
And 11 - yeah, yeah I know I'm not supposed to put this in here, but it probably won't get fufilled so what the hey?- An update to the fic 'Underwater' by [info]the_ninja_style  would be great!

~For the first five people who reply to me and re-post this challenge, I will send you something. It might be something I've made just for you, or something cool from my collection, it might be a mix CD or a book I think you will enjoy, a graphic or something else that I think you might like. Whatever it is, I promise that I will get it to you in 365 days or less or you are encouraged to constantly insult and harass me.

The only thing you need to do in order to participate is to be one of the first five to reply to this, AND post this entry on YOUR live journal - 'cause it's fun to give people stuff.~

you have to re-post this or you ain't getting nothing. link me to your post, and you'll go on the list!

I haven't been here lately because, I've been working on my website for 'The Angels Of Ireland'. If you're interested you can visit the site here. Well, life in general has been sucky...I did see Brick and Sin City again this week, though. Well, that's all I've got for tonight. See you later.
